WISHING
WELL WORDING
Soon
you will hear our wedding bells,
As friends and family wish us well.
As we have twice the things we need for two.
We’d like to simply say to you
We have our share of dishes and bedding,
We’re having instead a wishing well wedding.
But more important we ask of you,
Your prayers of love and blessings too! |

There
are many ways of wording your wedding invitation. The wording
will depend upon many factors such as who is hosting your
wedding and what type of wedding you are having. Traditionally
the bride and grooms parents host the wedding, hence the
invitation wording starts with the bride and grooms parents
names followed by the bride and grooms names. A traditional
wedding consists of two parts. The wedding ceremony, which
is traditionally held in a place of worship followed by
a reception celebration. Alternatively in modern times,
weddings can be hosted by the bride and groom and can be
held in gardens, beaches and overseas locations. Organising
to be married overseas or at a special location is known
as a destination wedding. Depending on which wedding you
are having, your invitation wording will vary. There is
no set invitation wording, it can be whatever you wish,
after all it is your wedding! Guest names can also be included
as part of the invitation wording. By including this in
your invitation wording, it allows you to specify exactly
who you wish to invite. Some wedding invitations need to
be printed in two languages. This is known as a bilingual
wedding invitation. Traditionally, wedding invitations are
printed in a script font for the bride and grooms name and
a simple font for the wording, so that all the wedding information
and details such as locations, addresses and dates can be
easily read.
